Get Pregnant

Ways to Get Pregnant w/o Meds

Whether you have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years, or have just started out on your trying to conceive journey, there are many methods to help increase your chances of conceiving. We have compiled a list of tools that couples have used throughout the years to get the baby they have been dreaming of.

1.) Charting - tracking your cycles is very important when it comes to TTC. You need to know what cycle day you are on and what your fertility signs are. The only time you can get pregnant during a cycle is when you are ovulating. You cannot get pregnant unless an egg is present...and you need to know when that is.

In high school we are taught that women have 28 day cycles and ovulate on CD14. This is not true in every case. Some women have 25 day cycles and others have 35 day cycles. But nearly every woman ovulates 14 days before her period. That means if you know when you are due to get AF, count back 14 days and that is when you are due to ovulate. You should plan to have sex within 24 hours of that day.

2.) Basal Body Temperature (BBT) - this is achieved by using a sensitive thermometer and taking your temperature every day at the same time of day throughout your cycle.

The best time of day to take your temperature is first thing in the morning, before you get out of bed. Record your temperature and chart it. This will give you a good indication (within 24 hours) of when your egg will be released and conception can occur. When you see your temperature dip, then rise again, that means you *most likely* ovulated with in 24-48 hours of that dip.

3.) Supplements -taking supplements to boost your fertility health is always a good idea when trying to conceive. In order to get pregnant both you and your husband must have healthy reproductive organs. There are supplements made specifically for women and supplements made specifically for men. Fertilaid for Men will boost a man's sperm count, while Fertilaid for Women boosts a woman's overall reproductive health.

4.) Ovulation Tests - Not only is charting and temping a good idea, but you should also invest a little bit of money and buy ovulation tests. This way you can back up your temperature readings with a test that tests the amount of LH (luteinizing hormone) in your body. Your body has a surge of LH approximately 24 hours before your egg is released. These tests are very effecitve and proven 99.9% accurate. The store bought tests are quite expensive, but there are some cheaper options you get order online.

5.) FSH Test Strips - FSH test strips are for women who are pre-menopausal and having issues getting pregnant. These tests can tell you if you have eggs, many or few, and also the quality of the eggs. They are rather cheap and will save you a lot of money rather then going to your doctor to have the same test done.

*If you are pre-menopausal, you need to get these strips to determine if egg supply is the reason you cant get pregnant.

6.) Lubricant - There is only one SPERM FRIENDLY, natural lubricant out there. It is called PreSeed. PreSeed is different from other lubricants because it is pH balanced to support and help sperm to travel successfully to the egg. Every other lubricant out there can actually act a spermicide and may be causing your fertility issues.

***If you use a lubricant as part of your TTC process, you MUST stop unless you are change to PreSeed.
