Foods High In Fiber

fruit

For those of you who suffer with constipation in pregnancy, check out the high in fiber foods listed below. These should safely and naturally help alleviate your symptoms. Constipation in pregnancy is unfortunately very common, but if after adjusting your pregnancy diet you still are having problems going to the bathroom, you should consult your doctor ASAP, because this can lead to further health problems.

* Blueberries (This has recently been proven to be one of the best fruits containing fiber and antioxidants, which help keep you from getting sick. This is also one of the very best ways to get rid of constipation in pregnancy and to get your insides nice and clean!)

* Prunes

* Raisons

* Apricots, Peaches, anything in this family

* Cabbage

* Apples

* Potatoes

* Carrots

* Turnips

A tip for getting blueberries (fiber) into your pregnancy diet without having to sit there and eat half a cup… Take a handful of blueberries, about 6 ounces (or a glass) of orange juice, about 4 or 5 ice cubes, and a banana (for taste only. If you do not like bananas, simply do not add.), and blend this together until ice is crunched and mix is well blended. Have this every morning for breakfast, or whenever you start having problems going to the bathroom. This should take care of the problem in no time!

You should also be drinking a lot. Things such as water or fruit juice are great and should help. And try to avoid milk products, because for some people they cause constipation. So if you have been downing a chocolate milkshake everyday for the past few months, this could be the problem!!!
