Conceive a Girl

Know what to do to increase your odds

We really want to conceive a girl. Whether you have a house full of boys or you would just love a daddy’s girl, or a little version of you, wanting to have a baby girl is very normal, but statistically speaking only 49% of births are girls. Which means if you leave it to chance, you have a greater chance of having a boy over a girl.

Is it wrong to want to conceive a girl over a boy? Almost every couple will admit to secretly hoping for one over the other. 84% of parents decide to have the gender ultrasound performed month 5 of the pregnancy, just in case they do have the opposite of what they are anticipating so that they can mentally be prepared. No, there is nothing wrong with you for maybe wanting a girl over a boy, but when you do get pregnant, regardless of whom you get, be thankful you have that precious bundle of joy.

How is the baby’s sex determined?

As far as chromosomes go, women have no say in what the child’s gender will be. That is because every single egg the woman’s ovaries hold contain X chromosomes. The gender actually comes from the sperm. If a Y carrying sperm reaches the egg first, the baby is a boy. If an X carrying sperm reaches the egg, the baby is a girl. Of the approximately 400 million sperm released by the males ejaculation, the percentage of X and Y chromosomes is pretty much 50/50. Pick the Gender of Your Baby is a program designed to help couples promote the “perfect” environment to conceive a girl. It isn’t full proof, but does boast a success rate of 94.6%.

Methods of Gender Swaying

Shettles Method, Whelan Method, and the Chinese Gender Calendar just to name a few. Although these methods have been tried and tested for years, not one of them alone offers a success rate as high as 94.6%. The reason Pick Your Baby’s Gender is so effective is because it combines all three methods and then some. Taking bits and pieces from here and there to create the perfect formula for couples who want to conceive a girl or a boy.

Cervical Mucous and the role it plays in gender selection

If the cervical mucous is more acidic then alkaline, you have a greater chance of having a girl. That is because the Y chromosomes are more fragile then X chromosomes and so a more hostile vaginal environment can possibly harm or kill off the delicate Y chromosomes. The thickness of cervical mucous can also play a role. If your cervical mucous is thicker then most, you are increasing your chances of having a girl, because Y chromosomes are more fragile and will probably die in the hostile environment.

Tips to Conceive a Girl

Have sex using the missionary position because it is shallow to allow the female sperm a fighting chance again the faster swimming male sperm.

Have intercourse several days before ovulation so that the Y chromosomes have most likely already died and the heartier X chromosomes are ready and waiting.

Consume lots of dairy and sweet foods prior to trying to conceive.
